I don’t see any serious problems with that system. The weak link is the video card. But it will probably be OK for most games, if you don’t run them at extreme settings. And you can upgrade that later.
Other than that, there are no obvious weaknesses that would need to be addressed. It won’t be blazing fast, but it will be OK for gaming.
Its ok. You would be much better off with a upgraded video card though. You should easily be able to get something like a minimum of a Radeon 4850 or Geforce 250 cheaply.
Dell is really not a good place to buy from for games. They dont like putting good graphics cards in their computers, Probably because the PSUs they use are really cheap and might get overloaded by a good card and so they can trick you into getting ripped off by their Alienware rubbish.
I would go for something like of newegg. You get alot more for your money as your not paying for the name.

The graphics card can run all of todays Games ok, but in a year it will be struggling to play at higher settings. I am noticing my Dual core (amd 2.7) struggling in some games now, and i plan to upgrade to a quad core soon just because it will future proof me more, and i expect future games to be designed to fly on quad cores not triples. the 4gb of ram will be ok and is easily upgradable.
