I found that…

Employee input makes workers into ‘team players’.

Brainstorming at meetings gives the employees an ‘open forum’ to voice their suggestions.

Performance Bonuses gave them the incentive to ‘go the extra mile’. It could be cash..or…the top producer gets one Friday off each month with pay.

If you’re considering expanding…make it a business that will ‘compliment’ the one you already have.

If you were to have a hair salon upstairs…then a nail salon and botique downstairs would compliment the business and not compete…generating more income.

If we knew what kind of business you’re running, it would be easier to zone in on some other ideas.

These suggestions were what worked in my ’sales oriented’ businesses…Hope that helps, Helen <:O)

There is no doubt that employee morale plays a big part in the bottom line – and the fact that you mention it makes me think you have some awareness you need to do that. Are you at the top of your game in your initial business? If not, expansion wont do it. Get employees to buy into your work – even profit sharing – if the bottom line improves, they get….

Develop new markets – brainstorm with the employees and give rewards for best new idea…

Wonderful answers from the ladies above, and me the thrid lady just want so make sure you don’t get fooled. This is a scam, most probably operated by Nigerian internet criminals…

That is a scam – neither of those are legitimate Hewlett Packard email addresses. if it doesn’t end in @hp.com you are not dealing with the real company

This is nothing but a scam to eventually steal all of your money and commit identity theft with your information. They will ask you to send a copy of your passport to some "agency" to process the visa, then ask for money. Then ask for more money for another certificate. Then more money then more until you finally wake up and realise it’s been a scam all the time

Delete this or report it to whichever agency in your country deals with internet crime

A major global company like HP is NEVER going to offer a job over the internet. If you were not flown to the UK for an interview at their head office in Bristol (they aren’t in London) then the job doesn’t exist. A company cannot get a visa for a person they’ve never met in person. That’s one of the requirements the company has to prove – that they have either flown to meet you or flown you in to meet them for at least 2 interviews before they can offer you the job and sponsor a visa

This does not sound legitimate to me. Have you applied at Hewlitt-Packard in the U.K.? If you have, then contact the person who you met with and discuss this. If you have not, it is definitely not legit.

If this is for an undergrad degree in the US I would narrow the list to Accounting, Finance or HR Management. Then from there, you would have to choose what’s best for you.

Business Research – how much work is there really in this field?
Management – should really be a graduate degree – chances are you will not land a management job right out of undergrad.
Marketing – should be a part of your business program, but no the whole major. Most marketing majors I know end up in sales or something completely unrelated – there’s just not enough "marketing" positions for the number of people who want them.

Accounting – there is always work for accountants, most make good money.
Finance – a lot of money and a lot of positions.
HR management – every company needs HR – always work and decent pay.
