In this sneak peek video of DocAve 6, John Peluso, Director of Education, AvePoint, walks you through the new look and feel of DocAve 6.0, the enterprise-class management platform for SharePoint governance. One of my personal favorite is my site capabilities, where every employee in the organization has their own personal site that they get to customize. They can add their documents, they can add status of this for what they’re working on. Some people really think it is a Facebook for the enterprise where you get your own place to share what’s going on and other people can comment on what you’re doing and can follow you and can tag your information and really just make it so easy for people to find each other in an organization and connect and collaborate in ways they could never before
I love the powerful capabilities of Exchange Online. They not only help me be more productive in organizing the mail that I receive, managing my inbox to be more effective, managing my calendar with partners and colleagues, no sacrifice.
One the things I love about Lync is that it enables people and businesses to work across distances. The ability to have that very simple capability to have PC-to-PC audio or video conversation, the ability to have presence instant message capabilities to enable work with people around the world. PointBridge worked with RED to leverage Microsoft SharePoint Online to meet their contract management needs in a cost-effective way.
The business productivity Online Suite includes Microsoft Exchange Online, Office Live Meeting, Microsoft Office Communications Online, and Microsoft SharePoint Online. The business productivity online suite is enterprise software, hosted by Microsoft Online Services and sold through partners on a subscription basis. This offering makes it possible for a company such as RED to gain access to a wide range of enterprise-class capabilities—including desktop and mobile e-mail, calendaring and contacts, instant messaging, presence, audio/video conferencing, shared workspaces and Web-conferencing applications—without having to build or maintain an in-house application and server infrastructure. Microsoft hosts and maintains the servers with its own staff of application experts. It also stays on top of security patches and application updates so that RED always has access to the latest, most up-to-date versions of the applications to which it subscribes. Availability and uptime are backed by service level agreements (SLA) from Microsoft Online Services.
